Role Description

We’re looking for an organised, energetic and hands-on Catering Manager to help us take Scrannery to the next level. This is a part-time / casual management role for someone who loves great food and coffee, but also knows how to lead a small team and keep the wheels turning behind the scenes.

You’ll do everything our brilliant team members do—plus take responsibility for stock, suppliers, payments, and making sure the team is supported and thriving.

What you'll be doing

  • Everything in the Team Member role, including food & drink service, customer interaction, and site cleanliness
  • Line management of your site team – supporting, motivating, and ensuring smooth day-to-day running
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies, and keeping waste to a minimum
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and good value
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Taking responsibility for till reconciliation, site paperwork and basic financial admin
  • Supporting site opening and closing procedures and reporting into the operations team

What we're looking for

(Essential)

  • Friendly, positive leadership style – you lead by example, not ego
  • Ability to manage a small team and stay calm under pressure
  • Experience in hospitality, catering, food retail or similar
  • Confident with stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
  • Flexible, proactive and happy to muck in when needed
  • Strong understanding of hygiene and compliance practices
  • Good organisational skills and basic admin know-how

(Preferred)

  • Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in a food environment
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willing to get it)
  • A genuine love for coffee, food, and people
  • A track record of delivering great customer experiences

We’re on the hunt for friendly, reliable and down-to-earth team members to join our crew. As a Casual Catering Assistant / Team Member, you’ll be working front and back of house—helping to prep and serve food, make great coffee, keep the place looking fresh, and most importantly, give customers a warm welcome.

What you'll be doing

  • Serve customers with energy, smiles, and great chat
  • Prepare and present food & drinks to high standards
  • Keep stock topped up and rotated, fridges filled, and displays looking on point
  • Keep our site clean, safe, and running smoothly
  • Handle till transactions confidently and accurately
  • Support your teammates with whatever’s needed—because we all muck in

What we're looking for

  • Food Preparation and Food Service skills

  • Experience in a similar role is a plus
  • Previous café, kitchen, or hospitality experience
  • Food hygiene or barista training
  • A love of good food and coffee (you’ll fit right in)

Part Time Brand & Buzz coordinator

Role Description

We’re looking for a creative, proactive and brand-savvy Brand & Buzz Coordinator to help build our presence across social media and digital platforms. From Instagram Stories and TikToks to email newsletters and posters in the shop window, this role is about making sure Scrannery’s voice is heard—and that it sounds like us.

This is a part-time / casual role that would suit a freelancer, student, or early-career marketer who’s confident with content, comfortable with Canva, and isn’t afraid to jump into a kitchen for behind-the-scenes footage when needed.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating and posting engaging social media content (mainly Facebook, Instagram and TikTok)
  • Supporting campaign ideas to promote events, offers, and seasonal menus
  • Taking photos and short videos of food, coffee, people, and vibes on-site
  • Helping keep our brand consistent across platforms (digital and print)
  • Assisting with email marketing, printed collateral and digital assets
  • Monitoring engagement and suggesting fun ways to grow our following
  • Being our voice online—and making sure it feels authentic and on-brand

What we're looking for

(Essential)

  • Creative mindset and great eye for social content
  • Confident with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Canva (or similar tools)
  • Can write fun, clean and engaging copy in a tone that feels like Scrannery
  • Organised and able to work independently (we won’t be micromanaging)
  • Someone who ‘gets’ food culture and what makes it special

(Preferred)

  • Experience working in a hospitality or small business setting
  • Some basic photo or video editing skills
  • Ideas-driven, with a keen interest in branding and storytelling
  • Willing to pop into our shops to capture content when needed
